Letters of Major Henry Bentinck, Coldstream Guards
Published by Robert Scott of London in 1919, 138 pages. Hardback - c.13cm by 19cm (S8315WSON)
Major Henry Bentinck was killed in action on the Somme in 1916, and this book collects together his letters, around half of which are written in the period before the First World War, and the remainder whilst he was serving with the BEF on the western front (having returned from the Sudan).
The condition of the book is generally good. The red cover boards have some minor scuffs and light blemishes, and there is further light scuffing along the edges and corners, but the spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is foxing to the inside covers, and yellowing to the pages throughout.
