Langham is a village in the county of Rutland, and this book is a wonderful tribute to the men of the village (and neighbouring Barleythorpe) who gave their lives in the First World War. Information on the men who fought and died during the conflict include (where available) their photographs, backgrounds, regimentsthey served in, where they fought, the circumstances of their deaths and where they are buried or honoured. In addition there is a timeline, information on the outbreak of the conflict, the medals awarded, and information on Langham’s own war memorial.

Contents include a brief background to the Great War, the 5th Battalion Leicestershire Regiment, the Territorial Force - Oakham Company, EventTime Lines,  The Wellington Quarry Tunnels at Arras, War Graves, The Dead Man's Penny, Menin Gate, The Silver War Badge, The Territorial Force Medal 1914-1919, Langham War Memorial, Memorial to Twenty-Six War Heroes, and of course the entries of the men themselves.

Condition of the book is generally excellent. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
