Images of Hampton in the 1920s and 1930s - The Roads and Buildings, Businesses and Shops, the River
Book published by the Twickenham Local History Society, 100 pages. Paperback (N6932)

This book provides a fascinating record of the roads, buildings, businesses, shops, and the River Thames in Hampton in the 1920s and 1930s, and is illustrated throughout with lots of small photographs and maps, as well as some building plans. The contents include Church Street, Hampton Court Road, High Street, Station Road, Thames Street, Upper Sunbury Road, Uxbridge Road, Other Roads and New Roads, Houseboats and regattas, Hampton Court Fair, Open Air Swimming Pool, Celebrations and Processions, and more!

The condition of the book is generally very good. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, unblemished and tightly bound. The first inside page has been clipped across the bottom right hand corner, and this has caused the loss of a small amount of text on the reverse side (detailing the photograph that appears on the front cover).
