This book is full of wonderful photographs and drawings of places and buildings of Dunoon & the Cowal Peninsula. A beautiful book, it shows off the attractions of these enchanting places, and will delight anyone who has lived, grown up or spent time in the Cowl Penisula. (Dunoon is a small town nestling on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll, on the western shores of Scotland. It sits on the Firth of Clyde, south of Holy Loch)
From the rear side cover: There are remarkable variations in the character of the Cowal Peninsula - from the grand and sombre, mist draped Highland scenery of the north to the island dotted bays of the south and from the populated sea-side east to the remote and tranquil west. The fact that most people come by ferry gives the added excitement and expectancy of arriving at somewhat different.
Scoular Anderson has travelled around Cowal with camera and easel and looked at it afresh. He has picked out the images that seem to represent Dunoon and Cowal's many different faces.
