Book published by Carreg Gwalch in 2008, 152 pages. Paperback (N6803)

From the rear side cover: Written by locals about locals, this is a history of Pontardulais public houses with modern day anecdotes. It is the result of reflections and reminiscences by Pontardulaisians and others, on their experiences and knowledge of public houses in the village. Where possible, each of the sixteen public houses contains a Historical, Personal and Hysterical section.

The Historical part is factual, and is the result of careful local research. The Personal sections include reflections and observations by people of their experiences in a particular public house, be it as landlord, landlady, barman or family member. The Hysterical segments contain true stories and anecdotes, that the authors have witnessed, or have heard about in public houses, or are linked to public houses in the Pontardulais area.

This is an informative, humorous and entertaining book and a must read for anyone who enjoys good tales and yarns!

The condition of the book is generally excellent. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Please note there is an old price printed and a small price sticker, both on the rear side cover
