From the rear side cover: Research on the mainly high ground aircraft crashes in Snowdonia started in 1977 after the author found wreckage of an Avro Anson on a nearby mountain. The stories of survivors and others resulted in No Landing Place, published in 1985. This work was followed by four other books covering accidents across Wales. Some stories could not be covered in detail for lack of information at the time. Now, this book fills in some of the gaps, along with many photographs and some coastal incidents. Contents include:

The Downfall of a Dragonfly
Twelve Miles
A Tale of Two Brothers
An Unlucky Marauder Crew
Tomahawk V Elidir Fawr
The Goat Shed
Marl Farm Anson
Waylaid by Wat's Dyke
Maid of Harlech
Disaster off Rhosneigr
Saved by the Navy
The Lonely Sea and the Sky
Anson Dive off Wallog
Third in Line
Lost
