This book is the report of the 15th congress of the CPGB, which was held in Birmingham in September 1938. This was during the Spanish Civil War, when the party was at the forefront of supporting the republican Government in Spain against Franco and the fascists, and so alot of the congress was to do with the situation in Spain (the report concludes with the roll of honour of the British Battalion XV International Brigade). Sections in the report include:

Condition of the book is generally very, very poor, but is perfect as a reading copy or reference for study. The cover is tatty, with lots of scuffs, blemishes and creases, and nibbling and wear along the edges and outside spine. All inside pages remain bound, but some are becoming loose from the binding, and their is considerable yellowing to the inside pages throughout. Their are a couple of small inscriptions in pen on the first inside page, and some annotations and marks to a couple of inside pages.The book also has spine roll.
