Dunbar - An Ancient Royal Burgh, by R.J.M. Pugh

Booklet published privately by the author in 2011, 34 pages. A5 size booklet (N6162)

Dunbar is a small Scottish town in East Lothian, and lies on the coast around 25 miles east of Edinburgh, and this short booklet provides a fascinating (albeit brief) history of aspects of the town.

From the introduction: This booklet.... charts the development of Dunbar as a Royal or King's Burgh from the date of its elevation from a Burgh of Barony in a charter granted by David II in the year 1369-1370. The booklet also provides a snapshot of the shopkeepers trading in Dunbar at regular intervals between 1837 and the present day.

The condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs and creases, and light spine roll along the left hand edge, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover
