Published privately by the authors and Graphic Print in 2000, 80 pages. A4 size booklet (A4QWSO)
From the introduction: Craghead Past and Present follows the development of this former mining village in the north west of Durham and recalls many aspects of village life through memories and photographs. Craghead had been designated "Category D" and when Craghead Colliery closed in 1969 it was expected that the village would decline and possibly die. Some residents refused to let this happen and this book acknowledges the work of residents groups and other agencies to improve the environment and quality of life in the area. Find out about the past and present of Craghead in this new book. The contents include:
The Growing Village
Looking to the Future
Mining
Shopping
Webwear
Places of Worship
Transport
School Days
War and Remembrance
Time Off
Memories

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers have one or two very minor scuffs but are clean and bright, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
