Corstorphine Notes - The Story of a Historic Village now an Edinburgh Suburb

Booklet published by the Corstorphine Trust in 1975, 64 pages. A5 size booklet (S7593)

Corstorphine was a small village situated to the west of the Scottish capital, and is now an Edinburgh suburb, and this booklet provides a fascinating history of the place and its people over the decades and centuries. There are sections on Corstorphine Castle, the Kirk, Cromwellian times, Murder, Sir John of Foulis, Stately homes, A Midlothian village, Victorian Corstorphine, the village library, Village to City Ward, Craft and Industries, suburban growth, and many more!

Condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs, blemishes and creases, and light nibbling and creasing along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
