Combat Colours No8 An Illustrated Guide to the Colour Schemes & Markings of the Supermarine Spitfire
Combat Colours No.8 - An Illustrated Guide to the Colour Schemes and Markings of the Supermarine Spitfire in World War Two (Vol.1 Merlin Engined Marks I to XVI), by Neil Robinson, illustrated by Peter Scott

Published by Guideline, 88 pages. A4 size booklet (N6705)

From the introduction: The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the World's most famous World War Two fighters and has probably had more written about it than practically any other aeroplane. The type's development and operational history has been described many times, so in this particular Combat Colours book we will concentrate on the development and changes in the colour schemes and markings applied to the type immediately prior to, and during World War 2

The booklet is illustrated throughout with several black and white photographs, but the vast majority of the booklet (60+ pages) is taken up with colour drawings showing individual profiles of aircraft with different colour schemes, designs and camouflage

The condition of the booklet is generally excellent. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs and creases but is clean and bright, the staple spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, unblemished, intact and tightly bound.
