Chile: An Insight into the Secret Services
A5 size Booklet, 37 pages. Published by The Chile Committee for Human Rights (S8335WSO)
From the rear side cover: The secret services in Chile have been responsible for the torture, disappearance and murder of thousands of Chilean people since the military junta seized power in 1973. This booklet documents the personal testimonies of two of the secret agents who have participated in the massive persecution and elimination of suspected opponents of the regime. It provides a fascinating insight into the workings of the security services, and it shows how the police state has sought to control its opponents through a network of agents and informers who eventually themselves become the inevitable objects of repression.
The condition of the booklet is generally a little poor, but is perfect as a reading copy or reference for study. The cover has several scuffs and blemishes (including an area of wear on the rear side where a sticker has been removed), and there is further nibbling and wear along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are intact and bound.
