These skilled builders of the Victorian horse-drawn carriage adapted their craft to serve changing times, and the building of bespoke motor bodies made way for the sale and maintenance of the mass-produced cars of the later twentieth century - from carriages to cars.
The book is illustrated throughout with several small black and white photographs, many showing old motor cars.
The condition of the book is generally excellent. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
