This huge book provides a fascinating and detailed account of the men from the Gloucestershire market town of Chipping Campden who served in the First World War. Illustrated throughout with lots of black and white photographs, most of the book is taken up with biographies of the men themselves, and includes their background and history, as well as their military service in the war  (including regiments they served in, campaigns and battles they fought in, and more)

The men listed in the book include Denys Sworder (a Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps), George Arthur Smith (a private in the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry), William Charles Payne (of the Machine Gun Corps), Thomas Payne (of the Railway Labour Battalion of the Royal Engineers), Frank Nobles (of the Gloucestershire Regiment), George Keen (a private in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment), and many more!

Condition of the book is generally very good. The dust jacket has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling along the edges and corners, and their is some bumping along the edges of the black cover boards, but the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Not price clipped.
