Bristol Brabazon - A Selection of Rare Pictures from the Simon Peters Collection 001

Slim A5 size booklet, published by GMS in 2005, 28 pages (SBKWSO)

From the rear side cover: The mighty Bristol Brabazon - Britain's largest aeroplane, and certainly this countries largest white elephant until the completion of the Millennium Dome! In many ways the Brabazon was a splendid achievement, in others it was a ghastly mistake; the technical and engineering aspects were superb - the managerial and political aspects were not. Planned by committee, it had a 230ft wingspan a length of 177ft and had a maximum take-off weight of some 290,000 pounds. Only one machine was completed and took to the air. All the images contained herein come from the Simon Peters Aviation Archive and are from original Bristol Aeroplane Company photographs.

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers have one or two very minor scuffs but are clean and bright, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
