Berkswell is a small village in the metropolitan borough of Solihull in the West Midlands, and following the introduction of Conservation Areas in Britain in 1967, the village was designated a conservation area in the following year. This short booklet sets out the principles behind this decision, the reasons for it and the impact it has had on Berkswell itself, and the booklet also includes a list of buildings of special architectural or hisitoric interest that are found within the conservation area.
The booklet contains several small black and white photographs and line drawings, many showing key buildings in the village, and their is also a two page map showing the area and extent of the conservation area, with houses and buildings within the area marked, as well as important trees and hedges!
Condition of the booklet is generally ok. The cover has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling and wear along the edges, but the spiral binding is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
