Banwell Through the Ages, by Stan and Joan Rendell

Booklet published in 1997, 64 pages. A5 size booklet (S5887)

This book is a fascinating history of the North Somerset village of Banwell, and includes chapters on Banwell Hill, Roman Villas and a medieval chapel, Lord Bishop's manor, Water and Industry, Fire Fighting, Schools, Village life and people, and Trade.

The booklet is illustrated throughout with several black and white photographs (and features several advertisments from companies and people who currently live and work in the village), and it will delight anyone who has lived or grown up in the village, as well as people with a more general interest in the social history of Somerset....

Condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, and some light nibbling along the edges, but the staple spine itself is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
