Annie Besant and Stewart Headlam: The London School Board Election of 1888, by David Rubinstein
Reprinted from East London Papers in 1970, 24 pages. Booklet - c.18cm by 24cm (S8295BKWSO)

This booklet contains a short essay on the London School Board election of 1888. The essay examines not only the actual election itself (in which Headlam was elected in Hackney and Besant in Tower Hamlets), but also the political background to the election - which was important in understanding the result.

The condition of the booklet is generally ok. The cover has several minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light wear along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and bound.
