Published by the Alderbury and Whaddon Local History Research Group in 2004, 128 pages. Paperback (S7441)
Alderbury is a small Wiltshire village situated a couple of miles south east of Sailsbury, and this book is a fascinating and detailed history of the men from the village who fought and died during the First and Second World Wars, describing the lives of those brave soldiers commemorated on the village war memorials...
From the rear side cover: This very moving tribute tells the story of the men from Alderbury, Whaddon and Clarendon who gave their lives in two world wars. Generously illustrated with photographs of maps, the book describes the part played by each man in the many different theatres of war.
The condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs and blemishes, and some very light nibbling along the edges and corners, but the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
