A Short History of the USSR, by S Schmidt, K Tarovsky and I Berkhin
Published by Progress (Moscow) in 1984. 304 pages. Hardback with Dust Jacket (A9970S6102)
This book, published in the Soviet Union, provides a short introduction to the history of the USSR and Imperial Russia before it. It charts the development of Russia in the medieval period, and examines the rise of Tsarist Russia, before exploring the country in the 19th century. It then goes on to look at the 1905 revolution, the First World War and the events of 1917, and the establishment of the Soviet Union. The book then explores industrialisation and the Second World War, and then brings the history up to the modern day....
The condition of the book is generally good. The dust jacket has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling along the edges, but the beige cover boards are clean and tidy, the spine is intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound
