Booklet published by the authors, no date given, 81 pages. Booklet c.13.5cm by 21.5cm (A51BK1)
This booklet provides a fascinating history of the Cumbrian town of Maryport, and it will delight anyone who has lived or grown up in the port, as well as people with a more general interest in the social history of this part of Cumbria and beyond.
Herbert and Mary Jackson were local historians who wrote several booklets and books on the history of Maryport and the wider Cumberland area. They published these books and booklets themselves, and their publications have now become quite rare and very much sought after by people with an interest in the subject.
Condition of the booklet is generally good. The covers have several minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling and creasing along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and bound.
