From the introduction: In the last twenty years or so, an increasing number of people have derived enjoyment from the study of industrial archaeology. This may be followed at a number of levels, ranging from in depth study ofa particular facet, such as the industrial archaeology of canals, or railways, to a general interest which enriches one's understanding of the environment. This Guide will, it is hoped, indicate the scope of the subject, and encourage further study. The booklet is illustrated throughout with lots of small black and white photographs, as well as a handful of maps.

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers have one or two very minor scuffs but are clean and tidy, the spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
