  • The First Horse Omnibus services in Birmingham - early omnibuses (1833-39), the Birmingham Omnibus Conveyance Company (1836), the Midland Omnibus Company (1836), the first comprehensive list of Omnibus services around Birmingham (1837), omnibus operation by Coach proprieters from the Hotels (1843), and 6 local omnibus routes (1846)
  • Town Police Clauses Act (1847)

  • The Standard Gauge Tramways - the origin of tramways, George Francis Train, the Tramways Act 1870, The General Tramways Company (1871), The Birmingham and District Tramways Company, and the first Birmingham Corporation Tramway (1872)
  • Omnibus services between the years 1869 and 1876
  • The Birmingham Tramways and Omnibus Company Limited (1876)

The book includes several pages of black and white photographs towards the rear, as well as a large fold out illustration of a horse tramway car, and three fold out maps

Condition of the book is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling along the edges, but the spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a name in pen on the inside front cover, and the first page has been clipped across the top right hand corner
